Superheroes
A campaign of capes, corporations, and consequences.
Setting
A world where superheroes are public figures—celebrities, brands, and media properties as much as crimefighters. Powers emerged decades ago, and society has adapted: corporate sponsors, government oversight, fan conventions, and a 24/7 news cycle that turns every rescue into content and every failure into a scandal.
But beneath the merchandise and the media appearances, real people wear the masks. They make choices that don't fit in press releases. They carry wounds that don't show on camera.
Core Themes
- Image vs. Reality: The gap between a hero's public brand and private self
- Power & Accountability: What oversight exists, who provides it, and who escapes it
- Legacy & Mantle: Old heroes, new faces, and the weight of expectation
- Human Stakes: Cosmic-scale problems grounded in personal relationships and consequences
- Moral Complexity: No one is purely heroic; even villains believe in their cause
